Terms and Conditions
Quotes and Validity: All quotes provided are valid for a period of 10 days from the date of issuance, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Quotations via Photo/Video: When a quotation has been provided based on photographs/videos supplied by the customer, it may be necessary to amend the quotation for future regular work. This will be communicated to the customer
Weather and Postponement: All booked services are subject to weather conditions. In the event of unfavorable weather, appointments may be postponed and rescheduled to the next convenient date.
Additional Services: Clients may request additional services at any time. These services can be added to existing quotes, or clients may request separate quotes for additional services.
Waste Removal Charge: Johnston Gardening holds a waste license and can remove green waste if required (when green bin is full/unavailable for any reason). When waste is expected, Johnston Gardening will provide you with a quote in advance.
Animal Waste Charge: A supplementary charge of £20 may be added if animal waste is present in the designated access and work areas.
Liability for Damage: While we take great care in our work, we do not accept liability for damage to wires, cables, or other services (including fairy lights) that are not sufficiently buried or protected. It is the responsibility of the client to inform us of any such items that need to be avoided.
Warranty on Plant and Seed Installation: We install all products to the highest standards. However, we cannot offer a warranty period on plant or seed installation where customer aftercare is required.
Missed Appointments: If an appointment is missed due to locked gates or circumstances preventing access, the quoted price may still be applicable.
Cancellation Policy: Once an appointment is scheduled, time is exclusively reserved for the client. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled time may result in the client being required to pay the full quoted price. To avoid a cancellation fee, clients are urged to provide 48 hours notice of cancellation.
Payment Terms: Payment can be accepted via cash, cheque, bank transfer, or debit/credit card payment via link on invoice. Payment is due upon invoice. Late payments may incur charges.
Insurance and Liability: Johnston Gardening holds the necessary insurance and public liability insurance to complete the works, however the client is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for the gardener.
Pets and Children: The client is responsible for ensuring the safety of any pets and children during the gardener’s visit.
Pesticides: Johnston Gardening offer a pesticide-free and nature friendly service. Although of course, customers can apply these products to their gardens themselves, for safety purposes, customers are required to inform Johnston Gardening of any chemicals/treatments provided on their gardens between our visits.
Privacy and Data Protection: Client information will be stored securely on our database and devices for as long as deemed necessary.
Marketing: Johnston Gardening reserves the right to take progress photographs of the work for marketing and promotional purposes. By engaging our services, clients agree that these photographs and any feedback or reviews may be used in company marketing materials, including but not limited to, social media, website content, and promotional materials. If clients have any objections to the use of such photographs etc, they must notify the Johnston Gardening in writing before the commencement of services.

Authorised Works: Johnston Gardening assumes that any works requested have been duly authorised by the landowner, and the client takes full responsibility for securing the required permissions if they are not the legal owner of the property. Failure to comply with this condition may result in the cancellation of services or additional charges incurred due to unauthorised work.
Acceptance of Quotation: Acceptance of a quotation shall be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
